SOURCE: mounting snow blade to lawn tractor

It attaches the the front of the tractor. Similar to a plow to a truck. If you don't have the brackets, you will need those, or make your own. You can see a picture of the brackets if you go to sears.com. Click on the PartsDirect link at the top, and enter the blade model number.

SOURCE: Craftsman Lawn Tractor 17hp 42 model 917.271662 auto trans idles and bucks when cutting grass

The symptom that you are feeling is that your transmission is not fully engaging correctly. Basically you have a few different things to try depending on the trans that is on your machine. Drain the fluid and re-install new fluid, adjust your brake/clutch to make sure that you are fully disengaged and fully engaged when you release the pedal. If none of those 2 cure your issue then you are looking at a trans rebuild or replacement

How to attach a john deere grass catcher

Make and model are important and would help. Generally they are pretty simple. Some older models you had to bolt a mounting bracket to the rear corner of the frame and then a support slipped into the bracket. Some newer models have a drop in feature (these have rounded ridges on the back of the frame and have horizontal slots cut in them). On these the support bar simply drops into the horizontal slots then a swinging bar slips into 2 holes on the fenders to support the rearward hanging weight. The most important part is getting the right bagger model for your model. If it is a very old model that discharges grass out the back of the deck you may have a hard time finding a bagger at all. If you have a side discharge just make sure you are getting the right version for your tractor. If your tractor has a smooth flat back you need the version that has a bolt on mounting bracket. If it has the rounded vertical humps you need the newer version.

After emptying the grass from the storage on the back of the rider, when I start to mow again, the grass that is in the catcher from the deck to where it shoots out, gets clogged and will not move on to...

Clean out your chute also and don't let the catcher get so filled up, check it for readiness to empty more often.Don't cut wet grass that tend to stick and cause trouble. Good Luck...709

Need agrass catcher for my craftsman riding

If you went to www.searspartsdirect.com, like I did, You found no references to a bag for this mower. It is the same as a Murray rear engine rider and I have not seen a Grass Catcher made for one of them either.

How do I install the grass collector

Assuming that you have the correct grass catcher..... Install the discharge deflector at the deck discharge. This is the smaller piece that bends 90 degrees. It will slide into clips on the deck when you have the deck's plastic deflector raised up. Next, install the bagging assembly. It's pretty straightforward. Lastly, install the plastic chute (tube). Push it in the grass catcher (bagger) opening, and then pivot it over the deflector and down onto it to seat it. Connect the straps.
