Turns and then turns off after just a few seconds

You have a defective timer circuit board, which I assume is part of the main board of the microwave. If the unit is older just replace it, if it is relatively new call a Panasonic repair service and get an estimate to repair it, I think you will be shocked by the cost to repair.

Ithnk you must check yo switches if there are still working fine but ithnk it may be the pc board faulty

Your description indicates one or too bad door switches, since there are a few of them a digital meter is required to test them along with the dis-assembly of the microwave oven, due to the high voltage danger I recommend a technician for the job.

what's sparking... is it by the Magnatron window... or the carousel?...
If there is a carousel... take it out...
if its by the magnatron window,,, then...houston... we have a problem...
might be contamination... and that may require opening up the unit... sorry...
hopefully it's only something floating around in there that's causing the arc...

This could happen because of a bad keypad . Just replace it and problem will be solved . I need you to think before replacing it . Because sometimes a new unit is better than repairing . Think it before !

It turned out to be the three door attachments that weren't lined up. It has been fixed. We almost bought a new one because Samsung referred us to a service that would have charged way too much to be worth it even thought the machine is only 3 or so years old. Luckily, we looked further. A local independent appliance fixer came to the house and took care of it within a few hours of my call! Yea!
