Sounds like a driver, if you connect you computer with an Ethernet cable to your router temporarily, it may automatically find the software from the internet.

Check the Advanced tab of the N300's Firewall settings to see if VPN passthrough is enabled. If it's not, the firewall will cut off VPN communications.
You may also need to run the VPN Wizard on the N300.
in my case i dont use belkin wireless usb.ive rather use same brand with my router.i got dlink router too just like yours..and i have edimax wireless 802.11b/g/n nano usb adapter..well up to now no problem getting slow DL and UL. try it..
Did it come with a disc? Usually, products like that require drivers to work, and the drivers are located on the disc that came with the product. If it did not come with a disc, a phone number should be located somewhere on the box or in a booklet inside the box.
It is not possible to connect your USB modem to belkin router... You need to run an ethernet cable between the modem and router...
Belkin routers are not compatible with USB modems like cricket broadband, MTS Mblaze modem etc...
