Answered

Sony discontinued parts, how can I get complete working fully functional ICB's for the Sony Powered SA-WM500 Sub Woofers? Got 6 and butchering 1 too fix another is totally out of the question.

If the sound is a scratchy type of sound then the voice coil has been damaged and is rubbing up against the internal magnet producing the scratching and low sound since the cone is barely moving;.

Burning smell then power outage, went in for surgery found fuse blown, replaced it and noticed a a 2 prong white tab directly next to the fuse holder is completely loose from the ICB, no burn mark though,...
It sounds like the fuse you are replacing is not the right wattage. If this is not the case, please provide more details.

I have my sub now for over 8 years. it does not cut it for HT. the sub is just too slow in responding . can i change the woofer with another in the same box and amp.
Too slow??? Never heard that one before. Can you describe the problem in sonic terms? It will only play what it is fed. THAT would be a function of your HT.

Its own amp might also be a limitation. Having full-range speakers around the room and properly routing bass to the channels it came from would also take some of the burden off of the sub.

The fuse blows in the SA-WM500 whenever there is an input from the amplifier.

The fuse blowing is a symptom of something seriously shorted internally. What preceded the initial problem? Smoke is bad. Fire would be soon to follow without the fuse blowing. Take it to a tech.

In your case a 2 ohm difference would not affect or hurt anything.

Replacing sub speaker
I wouldn't try reinventing it by replacing the driver. Drivers and their enclosures are designed to work together. And this being a self-amplified subwoofer, there is one more piece that's electrically optimized to the rest. Don't mess with it.

Why don't you just set your receiver's individual relative speaker volume levels so the sub isn't weak by comparison to your other speakers? Weakness, as you call it, is relative.

Is your receiver properly channeling Low Frequencies to the sub? Experiment with the cutoff, too.

This problem doesn't require meatball surgery.

firt you clean the subwoofer with cleaner after that, check the subwoofer srrounding, no electrical wire ,mobile phone & electrical operated items is near ur subwoofer.
1. Do not use maximum volume of subwoofer.
2. Use only 65-85% volume of your sub woofer.
