The inlet valve is where the water comes into your machine, top behind. The cold water valve is probably stuck open. It should open only when there is voltage across the valve. Check if wires are fitted tight. It could just be clogged inside. If you can remove it, you might be able to take it apart and clean it. Just make a note of how parts fit together as you are taking it apart. Clean all parts with old toothbrush and reassemble. Before you reinstall, connect it to a garden hose outside. No water should come out when you turn the hose on. If it still fails, just buy a new valve.

  1. Unplug washer, turn off water supply and remove hoses from the back of the washer.
  2. Remove the top panel by removing the three screws that hold the panel in place in the rear of the washer. With the screws removed, the panel will slide back, then lift off.
  3. The water inlet valve will be located at the left rear of the washer (as viewed from the front).
  4. Remove the dispenser hose, electrical connections and mounting screws and the valve is removed.
  5. Install new valve by following these steps in reverse order. NOTE: When reinstalling top panel, make sure you lay panel on top of washer, leaving a couple of inches of room from the front panel. Then, slide panel towards you (front of washer) so that the top panel slides into the mounting clips.

How to properly clean and care for your airpot

To clean your airpot you have to first make sure that it is turned off and unplugged. Pour out the water that is still in the airpot if there is some and allow it to cool down. Once it has cooled down you can begin to clean it.

You want to start with a since of the inner lining using hot water. Use a sponge to get loose debris off the lining and rinse again.

Fill the pot up again with hot water and few drops of mild dish soap, let this solution sit for 10-15 minutes. Using your sponge again scrub the inside of the pot then make sure to rinse both the sponge and the inside of the pot to get all the soap out.

If there are any mineral deposits in the pot you should fill it with hot water and about 2 Tbsp of white vinegar. Let it soak for about an hour an then rinse thoroughly you don't want the taste of vinegar in your water.

To clean the spout you pour some of the water and vinegar solution out the spout then rinse with fresh hot water.

Finally to clean the outside use a damp cloth to wipe it down and a dry one to wipe it dry. in the case that you have stains on the outside use a mild dish soap to clean, rinse with clean cloth and then use a dry one to wipe dry.

Swan steam iron 2200w

To descale make a solution of 3 parts distilled water to one part white vinegar, about a teacup full and pour into the irons water reservoir. Switch the iron on and set it on to the highest steam setting. Place a clean tea towel or similar on the ironing board and steam-clean it with the iron for a few minutes. The vinegar/distilled water solution will break down and expel the lime scale. Turn off the iron (unplug). Pour out the water and vinegar solution. Pour clean distilled water into the iron reservoir and steam-clean a new clean cloth for a few minutes. this will remove any residual vinegar etc. Turn off and unplug the iron and pour out the remaining water. Descale completed.
To clean the base (soleplate) first, make sure your iron is completely cool before cleaning.
There are a number of things to remove various stains. For general stains rub the bottom of the iron with table salt and a soft damp cloth. For marks left by limescale (a powderey white) use undiluted white vinegar on a soft cloth. Some stubborn stains can be removed with a paste made from baking soda and water. What ever you use make sure you rinse and wipe the soleplate dry before using again. Never under any circumstances use a metal scouring pad or wire wool type cleaner, this will scratch, mark, and probably damage the soleplate beyond repair.
