How does one clean the leather strap from odors caused by wetness, and perspiration that develop from wearing the watch in a short period of time.
Leaving the strap out to dry does not help.
Thank you

I would scrap the strap - the odours are caused by the tanning chemicals getting wet.
Retain the fastening and purchase half a meter of nylon ribbon loop it through the case pegs on one side glue them together and pierce for buckle holes.
On the buckle side loop it through both case peg and buckle and fold and glue.
You have a choice of colour and it cost only fraction of a new leather one- also you will have enough left to make two straps

If you want to pay the premium for an Ebel strap then any Ebel dealer or an online source can provide that.
For a much more reasonable price, I would try a store that sells AND installs watch straps. Usually, only independant jewelers both sell and install these.
The "gizmo" would be the pin that attaches the watch to the case. You can easily purchase a replacement pin or strap at any store that has watches (even Wal-Mart). These are very inexpensive and each one will cost you less than $10.
IF they still make the same bracelet for your watch you will be able to buy a replacement. If the watch is a leather strap then it is much easier as I can guarantee they will have a compatible strap. Contact citizen to see if they have any metal bracelets or leather straps for this watch.
