Dear,
As I know it is not a problem of motherboard. Please be sure
1.Your System is loaded with latest Antivirus. Most of the time such problem are due to virus activity.
2. If not, before installing the antivirus backup your data.

If it is in windows environment

Consider this ; you might been infected with a virus. Update your definition files then scan.

Or search for that file cmd.exe if it is deleted or the being hide/block by the virus.

Checkdisk /r will not run due to insugfficient priviliges

You should run the command from an Elevated Command Prompt. Running the Elevated Command Prompt is running the Command Prompt with administrative privileges. To run elevated Cmd, right click on Command Prompt or cmd and select run as administrator.

Hanging after memory count

Sounds like your boot files are corrupt or some system files are corrupt. You can try clicking Start/All Programs/Accessories and look for the CMD (command) Prompt. If you don't see it you can click the RUN and in the box type cmd and press enter. A black window should appear allowing you to type in commands. Type the following command: sfc /scannow (which is the system file checker and let it run). When it finishes, try rebooting. If you still have the problem type the following command: chkdsk /r
The Check Disk command might tell you that volumes are locked or that it will run the next time you restart your computer. In either event it's safe to click yes or ok to let it run. It will run for an hour or more and you will notice the percentage of completion going from high to low but that is ok. Just be patient and let it run until it finishes then reboot.

Can not get hard drive to convert from fat32 to ntfs

Convert FAT32 to NTFS In Windows XP:

  • Click Start -> Run
  • Enter "cmd" into the text field labeled "Open".
  • Click OK button
  • If you want to convert drive D (D:), enter the command "vol d:" in the command window, to find the volume label for the D: partition
  • Then enter the command "convert d: /fs:ntfs" to convert the D: partition from FAT32 to NTFS
  • When prompted, enter the volume label for the partition

Convert FAT32 to NTFS In Windows Vista and 7:

  • Click Start sphere.
  • In the Start Menu search box, simply enter "cmd" and hit enter.
  • If you want to convert drive D (D:), enter the command "convert d: /fs:ntfs" to convert the D: partition from FAT32 to NTFS that way can be confusing so an easier way is to download a free software heres the link http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm

After i use partitionmagic to merge drive (D & E ) and rename to D the Drive D disappear and wheni check error it shown Error #1520 Externak attribute header mismatch How to solve this problem

This error occurs when the PC hard disk has error(s) and your using particular software as you have mentioned like partition magic. To solve this problem shut down all your applications and running software.
If you are using Windows XP
Go to Start>Run>In the run box type cmd
A black Window will open its called CLI or Command line interface. In this Window run the following command on the C partition CHKDSK /F if the message appears"Check the system next time the system restarts (Y/N) type "y". then type "d:"to enter D partition. When the D prompt (D:) appears type the same check disk /Fix command which is "CHKDSK /F" and hit enter.
Similarly repeat this command for all the partitions.
If the this option statement appears "would you like to force dismount on this volume? (Y/N). Select "Y".
If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 then when you perform the first step which is Start>Run>In the run box type cmd before hitting enter in the start menu look for a small black icon named cmd on the top of the start menu. Right click it and select "Run as Administrator" When the black cmd window opens all the steps after that are the same as described above.

Good Luck!
