SOURCE: Belkin N Wireless Router doesn't connect to Modem

If router is brand new you should have a set up disk. the set up disk will walk you through it or you might log onto Belkin site to see a walk through set up. If you can access internet from modem to router to internet. That means router is functioning properly. To go completely wireless you will need to secure your network and setup your access codes. Definitely use the setup disk to do this. A unsecured wireless network is a nightmare waiting to happen. Good luck

SOURCE: Blinking orange light

if you got an orange light to the router, It means that there's no Internet connection or not working from the router. I might advice you to check the Internet connection from your ISP, then check the configuration of your router or you might needing to reconfigure the router.

SOURCE: Belkin N Wireless Modem-Router F5D8633 drivers

Just hook it all up, and push and hold the reset button in the back of the router for 10 sec..

Then unplug your internet box, [cable/DSL box] and plug back in,
The internet box will send a IP to your router automaticly.

[If it dont work unplug power from both boxes, then back in but plug the internet box in first..]

done..

if your useing wireless this will not be setup with a password to join, and will be open to neighbors,,

If you want to go to the next step and setup a password to join, you can do this with out the cd also, but get it working first and hit me back

SOURCE: Modem router light blinking (no wireless connection) F5D8631-4

Try restoring the Belkin back to the factory default by powering up the Belkin and pressing the RESET button on the back of the Belkin for 7 secs. Then connect a LAN cable from the computer to the Belkin, open IE browser and type the configuration IP address and configure the wireless settings ie. SSID, encryption etc. The computer wireless cards will need to be configured with the Belkin wireless settings to allow them to communicate with the Belkin.

SOURCE: Belkin F5D8236-4 Wireless Router will not connect

1) With direct connect with modem, check the IP address and default gateway.
(I came across such a modem, it gave default gateway as 192.168.1.254)
I also had the doubt of configuring as a dynamic connection
But it won't work!
Contact your ISP to completely bridge the modem and configure the dsl modem as PPPoE connection with correct username and password.
Finally connect the modem to router and do a complete network power cycle, i.e.: Unplug power from router 1st, then power from modem, unplug the telephone line and now do the exact reverse process... Plug back the tel. cable, then power to modem... now WAIT for lights on modem to come back, then plug in the power to router. This will surely work.

How to get my Belkin N600 DB Model #F9K1102 V2,setup to my TV, with Google Chromecast?

Download the Chromecast App to your phone or tablet. Open the app, search for your Chromecast device and set the device up by telling it your router SSID (name) and password.
I believe you can do it with a PC by going to the Chromecast website.

My belkin n600 keeps saying no internet connection the light is orange but the computer registers the router

Alright. The orange light means the router has no problems with your inner (private) network or its internal configuration, but it can't connect to the internet by itself. So obviously, your devices, which are routed trough your router, won't be able either.

I've compiled a small list for things you can check to resolve this issue:

- Check if your ethernet cable is connected to your router. It can be a CAT5 DSL cable or a CAT5 cable from your modem, to your router.
- Log onto your router configuration panel on http://192.168.2.1/ or http://router/ by clicking log in at the top (the default password is blank). Should you get any problems with logging in, you might need to reset your router (button on the back, hit once for restarting and hold for 10 seconds for factory reset).
- Your problem is with WAN (Wide Area Network) or the outer network, so you will want to focus of that area of the configuration panel. Hit "Connection Type" and make sure you configure it accordingly to your ISP. If not sure, you can try and check the LAN/DSL configuration on another device that can connect to the internet via an ethernet port (the CAT5 from your ISP or modem) or just try the "Automatic" option.
- Check out the "DNS" section in the "Internet WAN" section. If unsure, try setting it to automatic. This will inherit the settings from a parent device in the network.
- Working with MAC addresses can be tricky. They are the fingerprint of your internet device (router, computer, LAN switches, modems) and some ISPs register your devices for security purposes. You should probably call your ISP and ask about it, if they need this configured specifically, they'll tell.
- If you're using a number of routers or a modem and a router you may need to change your LAN subnet mask or routers IP address in either your modem or one of your routers settings. This is only necessary if they overlap on multiple devices.

I have to say, though, 99% of the time it's either cables left unplugged or DNS misconfigured.
