Hello Mary.
Since the screen has been damaged, it isn't worth it to get fixed. The TV can be used that way if still watchable without any concerns about any safety hazards.
Ok, now this tip is a bit out-there bt.. here goes.. I have found this to actually work... well, infact. With limitations.
We have all heard or seen the "Wii Screen".. lol Where the user of the Wii controller.. dosen't, control it, I mean.. no they let go, it slips out of thier hand and shazam.. ya got a busted TV screen.
OK well there is a repair that will sorta fix and maybe even make it watchable, but ONLY if it isn't too big and hasn't actually cracked the Element behind.
Get in touch with one of theose car windscreen repairers, you know the ones that fix cracks in auto windows, and are "optically difficult to detect" sic.
Well if ya can persuade the dude doing it that Car.... TV ....wats the difference, still Glass, then ya just might get an acceptable Crack Fix depending.. but it is worth a try.. it does work..
If the screen is cracked, there is no other way to repair it, rather than replacing it. Replacing the screen will cost around 2/3rd of the total cost of the TV. Screen cracking will not come under warranty, as it is not the fault with the company which manufactured it.
The screen panel is crack or broken, the tv is not worth fixing.Because any LCD,Plasma,DLP tvs panel screens crack or broken will cost the same as a new tv to replaced the screen panel's.Sorry ur tv now,not worth as a whole tv anymore. Now only worth as a salvage tv for electronic boards for parts, that it.
i have a 47" inch lcd sanyo t.v. and my kids accidentally shot it with an air-soft gun. and there is a crack where the pellet hit and there is also a crack running down that spot. Also the screen has these lines running up and down the screen. Different colors. and i was wondering if it was possible to fix.
