SOURCE: Wacom Bamboo Fun Pen isnt working correct

I think you dropped the pen on its tip and broke the little ferrite sensing core.  You can try to repair it by gluing the core back together - it worked for me.  For detailed instructions on how to do it, go here: http://wishidknownthat.blogspot.com/2009/04/fixing-wacom-bamboo-pen.html  or you can try to swap the core for the eraser and the tip (more involved - you would need to be very good with a soldering iron to attempt this).  Either way - it's unfortunate that the pen is so fragile and that the user manual doesn't really warn you of this.
Good luck!

SOURCE: Bamboo Fun won't work w/ provided software

Hello,

I had the same problem when I got my laptop (Vista OS). The solution is to update the new driver for your bamboo. They are out of date so you need to go here: http://www.wacom.com/downloads/driver-detail.php?id=196 Updated @ Apr. 9, 2009

This update should allow Vista to find it.

SOURCE: My Wacom Bamboo Tablet wont detect my pen for some reason

Mabye you should buy a new pen. I had the exact same problem, but I bought a new pen and it worked perfectly. Call first and explain your problem to the website, and they should give you a new pen for free because of warrenty. Go to the WACOM website and look for the phone number in the top-right corner. That is all except to wait for your new pen that should arrive in two or three days tops.

SOURCE: how do you change the pen tip on a bamboo pen?

I posted this solution for a Toshiba Tablet PC that uses a Wacom tablet pen. I am rather confident that it will give you ideas on how to solve your problem.

With the stylus replacement tips there is an extraction tool: It looks like a wide ring split lengthwise.

You take the tool between thumb and index ( as you do a tweezer) and extract the worn out tip. Toshiba warns against letting the tip wear out too much: this renders extraction difficult.

Once you have extracted the worn out tip, insert a new one with the thinner side towards the outside. Press gently but firmly to make sure it is holding.

My bamboo pen wont move my arrow around anymore

I've had this issue; the software drivers that make your tablet work aren't installed. Go to Wacom's site (I've provided a link) to download the software for your tablet.

Pen not working properly all of a sudden

Try reinstalling it, And also change the battery in it, but it has to be the same kind. And go to your settings and change the sensory thingie, like if it says 'Light' And yours is verry clost to that, then move it to 'Heavy' And then It will do it better and wont do that when you move your mouse of the screen.

That happened to me yesterday. What I did was I went to the wacom site here: http://www.wacom.com/downloads/drivers.php, selected my tablet make and operating system, and downloaded the driver update. I installed it and as soon as it was done my pen started working again. Hopefully this works for you too!

Is it possible to remove features from a tablet?

I have the bamboo fun pen also. I am currently running Windows Vista 64bit home and have the same problem. I fixed mine by going into the control options > Tablet PC Settings > Other > Go to Pen and Input Devices > Settings (Under Pen Options) Then I clicked at the top Where it states "Enable press and hold for Right-clicking". I disabled that and my pen works with no holding for the right click. I can make scratch marks all day! Hope this helps you too.
