My Sansa Fuze 4GB mp3 keeps skipping some songs. Im not sure why, theres no problem to them. I can play them on the computer. I checked the format and its the same as any other song file. I also downloaded the same song but from a different user, and it still skips the song.
I think this is a software bug.. mine will play a song sometimes, and other times it just skips through all of them until it hits some 'starting point' and plays that one. Could be some obscure setting, but I can't find a way to coax it back to sanity if this is designed-in behavior.
Actually, this likely devolves to mathematics of random number generators, which, in computers aren't so random - they might generate the same 'random' sequences over and over again from power-up. Without some truly random seed/number, the 'random' sequence is like .. the same song, sung over and over.
So if the same not-so-random sequence is used to pick from a small few, or even a lot, of tunes, some could seem never to get played, or 'left out', unless the player is left on forever or lots and lots and lots of tunes are played... in which case the tunes 'left out' will likely eventually get played.
