I have Dell inspiron 1525 laptop with windows Vista home premium

Factory has installed windows Vista home premium in C drive in my laptop.Now i want to install Windows XP service pack2 in my laptop in D drive,I want to know Dell inspiron 1525 laptop model support for Windows XP service pack2 and how can i install Windows XP service pack2 in my laptop.

Go to bios setup n change sata driver to ATA from AHCI n  also disable da flash play module

Go to the BIOS ....Set boot sequence to boot first CD ROM.Put the "XP" cd in the cdrom(hit any key when prompt you)When the "setup" ask you if you want to repair windows exist installation answer "NO".Then "Setup" will ask you which partition to use to install xp ...go select D:/. After restart you will see 2 system operation(win vista & win xp) select "Windows xp profesional" and......done! the computer will load win xp....try this ..and notify me if was a succes! Good luck!

It sounds like a driver issue. Go to http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs and enter your service tag. It should give you a list of available drivers for your system. Make sure that it specifies Windows Vista in the drop down menu. Check for audio drivers and install the most recent one.

Follow this simple Installation step to downgrade Windows Vista to Windows XP.
a. You have to prepare SATA Driver on your USB Disk. You may get the Dell Inspiron 1525 SATA HERE

c. For Dell Inspiron 1525 Webcam you have to get Creative Labs Webcam that you may get it in the Windows Update Sites.

Here is the link to XP drivers for your system. If you had the Dell Resorce disc it should show you which devices you have on your system. If you can get online you may also be able to use the Dell configuration scan utility.
