No Spark to a 1994-1995 Polaris SL Jet ski

Jet ski submerged under water for a week... no spark to any of the spark plugs. Electrical box was seperated and no water or moisture found.
Can you help me troubleshoot or tell me where I need to go from here.

Thanks,
Keith
PS I'm not finding jet ski/ wave runner in the items below Not sure if this catagory is on the right track.

First have you done what is necessary for that such as draining the oil (unless it's a two stroke) draining the gas and refiling it with fresh gas and a couple bottles of gas line antifreeze (it sucks up water) ... for the electrical parts ... spray them with wd40... that will force out any moisture at all and oil does not conduct electricity.

sounds like you hydro locked it and possibly blew out a reed in your engine intake or worse, you may have bent a crank rod. But before you go tearing it apart make sure all the water is out of motor and theres none in the fuel tank then put in a new set of plugs and see what happens,

My Polaris freedom(jet ski) starts and runs good

Tools(1) A compression gauge (2) a spark gap tester.(3) A Clymer service manual for your engine. (you can purchase from your local dealer. I know all these are expensive but if your going to be a polaris tech you will always need them. Troubleshooting (1) check compression. Look at your Clymer manual for specific psi.all cylinders need to be over 100 lbs and equal each other within 5 lbs.(2) check spark. use a spark gap tester all cylinders should jump a half inch gap. if you have good compression and good spark, fuel is the problem nine
times out of ten.Ethanol gas is proven to stay stable in fuel systems for only 30 days in 90 + degree heat. Drain gas tank, clean fuel lines replace and replace all fuel filters. Polaris has a gravity filter under seat, clean it. Finally replace spark plugs, I know spark plugs probably don't look bad but this is a C.D.ignition. Fresh spark plugs means less resistance for the ignition system. The ignition system is week compared to automotive. Test drive polaris, if the problem is still there then there is further steps to take. If your polaris is fuel injected. Pull out your clymer manual. what is great about the Clymer Manual for Novice techs is it gives detailed info on your polaris. Troubleshooting tips and teaches you how your polaris works. If its carburetor then you should clean carburetors. Inside the carbs is another filter that needs to be cleaned. Its not difficult you just make sure you put everything back in proper order. take pictures if you need to.

My 1997 polaris jet ski keeps taking in water? what could this be??

Unplugged water tube, cracked water tube, bad drive shaft hull seal, hole/crack in the hull, cracked water box, broken exhaust jacket water seal, water tubes plugged in incorrectly, no cap on flush kit, broken fitting on motor, etc. Dry out the boat take off the seat and place it in the water and look to see where the water is coming into the hull.

I have a polaris sl 700 jet ski. After winterizing and dry starting ran great for about one tank of gas. started running bad, chnaged plugs and it was hard to start, recharged battery got started but ran...

ok, dont know if this will help but, I had a sl 780 that did the same, if you have a newer sl 700 with the multi-function display, and electric readout for gas and oil levels on display this could relate to you.. my float inside the gas tank compromised to the gasoline it was surrounded by and become saturated and wouldn't float anymore, which in turn caused the low fuel sensor to ****** the motor and keep it from reving up.. i had the same thoughts as you as it was a mechanical error, but turned out to be electrical.. and instead of buying a new $250 fuel level sensor.. i just opended the electrical box and unplugged the grey wire and it reved right up.. and if not electrical.. a carb kit is in need
