Are you using a desktop or laptop. Is OS already installed on the system?
Start your computer and press F2 key while booting and before the logo appears.
Check for the boot menu, and see whether your first boot device is your hard disk of the system or not.
If not then do that and in case of desktop if you have more than two hard drive just check whether the first boot device is your that hard drive on which the OS is installed or not.
I guess, it will resolve the problem. For further assistance, you can avail our technical support by visiting our website: http://www.vtechsquad.com.

Comp frozen.will not connect to windows 7..error while initializing the NIC

PXE ROM boot is a network boot that kicks in when all else fails. If you have or can borrow a Win7 boot disk, watch the screen closely when powering on the computer and it will tell you which key or keys to press to force a boot from the the cd/dvd rom. If you can boot from the optical drive , it may give you the option to repair Windows. READ THE SCREENS CAREFULLY AND CHOOSE WISELY - if you do not you can overwrite windows and ALL of your personal data. IF you have a hard disk failure, windows should tell you so...

the CMOS battery just died.
install a new one.
all puters this old do that, the battery is good for 7-10 years,
and all fail.
DO NOT FLASH your BIOS, fix the real problem first

when the battery dies, all our bios setting were lost
including boot device, and order
fix battery
then go into BIOS and put back boot order.

My acer aspire 5100 keepson giving me PXE-ROM error and I take the realtek card of the boot priority and put the first boot as cd-rom and 2nd as HDD. Then i put my vista disk in but it doe not start but...

If you've disabled the LAN option in the BIOS (or put it at the bottom of the boot order) then forget the CD and go back into BIOS and put the HDD as first in the boot order. If the laptop will not boot to the HDD then it is almost certainly the problem.

I got lucky once with this problem on an Acer by just telling the BIOS to go back to Default and the machine booted normally afterwards.

to go to bios setting either u can hit F2 or F1 key. then u change the boot priority. set it to cd-rom device.
after that u can boot from any bootable cd.

for your operating system problem, boot from the xp bootable cd after setting boot priority, and then repair or reinstall your operating system. some files might have been corrupted.

Emachine T1100 Operating System

Sounds to me like windows is corrupted. If you have the Windows operating system cd then go into the BIOS and set the first boot device to be the cd-rom. After you do that then put the cd in the cd-rom and then reboot the machine and it should tell you to press any key to boot the cd and it will go into the installation for you and you just follow the prompts from that point.

Os instalation will not load

Hi Dobssand, the most common reason for a CD-ROM (With a Windows CD in it) does not start to load is the motherboard's bios is not set correctly. While in the bios go to the title Boot & enter boot order. This is a common boot order for a PC.
1st boot device = [Floppy disk drive]
2nd boot device = [CD-ROM drive] (Model number of the CD-ROM drive).
3rd boot device = [Primary Hard Disk Drive] (Model number of drive).

Second most common reason is the data cable to the CD-ROM drive is loose or not fully connected either at the CD-ROM or at the motherboard. (Check it).
If you choose not to enter your bios, you can still get the CD-ROM drive to boot the Win CD in this fashion. Load the Win CD into the CD-ROM drive. Power off the system. Than power on the system & start to press the F8 key once every two seconds. Windows "Please select boot device:" window will open. Using your keyboards up & down arrow keys high-light the CD-ROM drive that has the win CD in it & press the enter key. Windows should start to load. If you receive an error message stating windows can not find your hard disk drive. Than you must enter your bios & go to the title Boot. Your hard disk drive is not listed in the boot order section. Worst case! Your hard disk drive may be faulty. Find the manufactures name printed on a large white sticker on once side of the HDD. Go to the manufactures web site & download their drive setup software so you can create a bootable floppy disk. This will allow you to check/test the HDD & format it for a windows installation.

Or is this not the issue you are having?

Good luck!
Mike
