Laundry is trapped under the base of the agitator.

I have a Kenmore Elite Oasis washer model # 110.27052600. A portion of a bed sheet is trapped under the base of the agitator. This is not a case of something (drawstring) trapped under the agitator fins, which is a common problem with this machine.

II cannot pull the bed sheet free. It feels as though it might be caught on or wrapped around something underneath the agitator base. I attempted to pull the agitator base up but it won't budge. I removed the back access panel only to find that the basket is an enclosed unit, so I did not go any further. Any ideas?

Im not very familiar with that type of top loadign washer,,, but on most agitators there is a bolt that runs down the center of the agitator, connecting it to the transmission/gearbox. Usually there is a cap, or softner dispenser that can be pulled off, revealing this bolt.

Kenmore Elite Oasis top loading washer model 110.27092600 won't agitate on wash or rinse cycles. It does drain and spin properly. Does not give an error code.

You must remove the inlet hose to the pump to find the screen.
