Dishwasher won't start

Replace the control board, or...if you're capable, resolder the control board joints for the wire connectors and the relays.
That fixed mine after I wasted money on a heater.

GE Nautilus dishwasher isn't draining... PLEASE HELP

Check floater valve.

Inside the unit. On the floor. Looks like and small upside down cup.

If it is jammed in the up position it will stop the machine. Lift, clean underneath. It should drop and the machine will run.

The float valve stops the machine from over filling.

Could also be clog in the drain filter. Remove the cover from the drain inside the unit. look for clog in the filer of the drain.

If none of the above it is the timer. The timer tells the unit what to do (fill, run, empty). If it is not working the drain function will not run.

Not cleaning Fills up with water at the bottom. Just not spraying. I took off everything inside to clean it out. Down to the grinding wheel. Pump feels like it running.

The water first gets pushed into the dishwasher from the water supply, then fills up until the float detects the water level, the water then gets drained into the sump pump and either drains to the plumbing or shoots up through the arm inside the dishwasher. Thats a basic cycle anyways. If it is draining into the sump pump like its supposed to, and not coming out through the arm, then something is blocking it or a solenoid/relay isnt working properly on the pump. If its not draining at all, which you would be able to hear if it were from the sucking or gargling sounds, then the same follows, just in different areas. I know its not to technical, just hoping to shed some more light on the situation.

Whirlpool dishwasher won't drain? Model#DU5000xw

When it is suppose to be draining, do you hear the pump running.
If not, then the pump or controller/timer is bad. If the controller is sending power to the pump and the pump doesn't run, it's the pump. If no power is getting to the pump, then the controller is bad.
You'll need a voltmeter and know-how to diagnose this electrical problem. This is high-voltage power with water in the area. So please don't try to use a voltmeter unless you are confident of your skills.

If you do hear the pump, then the drain valve (solenoid) is the problem.

The solenoid valve and the pump are all underneath the unit. Accessibility from the front, bottom panel.

If this helps you, please select YES to one of the first two ratings questions. Thank you, and Good Luck.

I have a GE dishwasher with the following model number: GSD3230F00WW. Last night, while the dishwasher was in the clean cycle, a buzzing/grinding sound came from underneath the dishwasher. I removed the...

The part you are referring to is the pump out solenoid. ( part # WD21X10071) When the dishwasher is suppose to pump out, power is applied to the solenoid and it swings a flap inside the pump assembly to divert the pumped water out the drain instead of up into the dishwasher. If there are no signs of water leakage at the solenoid arm, I'd just ignore the noise. Note: Newer models use a separate drain pump and no longer use the pump out solenoid.

Leaks underneath frount looks like the white tube that has a eletric control for water level

I decided to tell you of a generic problem for these models (Nautilus) and this is also a universal problem with every DW ever made,,,,It sounds like you are describing the float...lift the (inverted saucer ..hafl-bowl shaped float) up and listen for a clicking sound as you lift it up and down...you should hear one....if you don't the solenoid is bad...if you do it's good..(.so far)...look inside the float it probably is full of gunk...clean it thoroughly and replace it....(when these get filled with debris they stick in place...and the float is supposed to float to a certain level...which takes pressure of of the solenoid and when it clicks it stops the in-flow of water...if it is stuck(from gookus)..it will allow to much water in and you will develop a leak.
If this does not do the trick...please get back to me...(model #..in hand)

I hope this helps...Good Luck and thanks for rating my effort....The Fang.

Water valve

The water valve, or water inlet valve is what lets water in the dishwasher. If it is filling and emptying at the same time, that is a different situation, and is most likely the drain solenoid. Take the bottom panel off the dishwasher and take a peek underneath. The solenoid may be simply stuck, but if it's an old dishwasher, it's most likely corroded or burned up and is stuck in the drain position. If this is the case, it should be replaced.
