who told you about a hot wire. all need to do is go to walmart, or any store who sells car stereo accessory. an d buy a wire harnet. then just follow the color code.
hey , i believe the pioneer install manual will provide the color codes , this manual in multi lingual , but english is first in the list , its only like 2 or 3 pages . :)
Purchase the aftermarket wire harness at from a local installation shop. WIres will match color for color to this harness then mate to the factory connector. This could save hours attempting to figure out the factory wire harness.
