Could be a couple of things, usually when you get the BSOD (blue screen of death) there is usually a ram problem, have you noticed your pc getting slow, sometimes the ram sticks break down over a period, try getting hold of a memory tester software and checking the PC, this is usually done through the inital start up before windows is loaded, please ensure though that if you need to get more ram that you use the correct one for your motherboard, buying incorrect ram can cause more problems and is a waste of money, www.crucial.com is good for checking ram in pcs, also you need to make sure that if it says low density you use low density ram, or high density for high density. also make sure that you buy the one with the correct amount of pins.
