I have a soyo flat screen the blue power buttion stays on but no picture, or sound appers

At this stage, try replacing ps Caps. Old elements had cap problems in ps area.

unplug it from all sockets and power lay it on its back for 30 mind then plug back in it should work fine

I have the same problem with my Soyo 32" lcd tv. Seems a lot of people do. Soyo went out of business, but I am going to see if it is the capacitors, like several people said on here.

I HAVE FOUND 2 2200uf CAPS ON THE POWER SUPPLY BOARD THAT ARE PUFFED UP. CHANGING THEM USUALLY SOLVES THE PROBLEM. THERE'S ALSO A RESET BUTTON ON THE MAIN BOARD YOU MAY NEED TO RESET AFTER CHANGING THE CAPS.

Long story short: 
Had the same problem with my Soyo. 
Thought it was the power supply board problem that everyone else was reporting. 
ordered one.  Plugged it in.  Did not work. 
Inspected the Main/Logic board and found what looked like a black button that could be depressed.  It is located to the right of main processor on the board.  You can't really miss it. 
With the TV plugged in, I pressed the suspect button.  The TV made a buzzing/clicking noise for a few moments and the stuck blue illuminated power button faded away. 
Curious by this, I pressed the power button and low and behold the TV comes to life! 
Looks like I found a "reset" button which seems to have fixed my problem. 
Thanks Soyo for not bothering to mention that such a button exists. 
I hope the rest of you have the same good luck.  In the event you are still in need of a power supply board, email me.  I have a spare now it seems.  ;)
