No. Necessary change the heating element.

It could be the thermostat switch is bad,or the elements in the oil heater are burned out.

I had the exact same problem and I took the front panel off and found the bottom thermostat was burned up when I bipassed it the heater worked so I know this is the problem. Its the small thermostat attached with two small screwes to the heater. It is a KSD301 16amp 125volt 160degree themostat but I am having trouble locating one. They seem to be chinese made and mostly have to be ordered in bulk. When/if I find one I will post again

did the castor break or the whole thing?
