The final spin cycle on my maytag neptune washer will not perform

All the other functions perform except the final spin. It drains and everything but no spin cycle. I changed the door lock, thinging that might be it. It's still functions the same. Clothes still soak after all is complete.

If you have changed the door lock assbly, the next thing it could be is the need for a motor conversion kit. this is something you need to place a service call on. The approx cost for part #12002039 is 240.00US

Maytag neptune

There is 2 possible problems. 1. Pump will make noise as soon as the drain and spin starts. 2. Rear bearing this noise usually starts later in cycle as the drum gets up to final speed. The rear bearing of coarse is the most expensive of the two as it is part of the outer tub.

Will not do final spin cycle leaving clothes

Your drain pump has something lodged in it. Remove drain motor, open it up and inspect for obstruction. remove it then reassemble.retrywashing cycle.

There is always water in the drum even after a laod but after it sits empty the tub fills with more water

This might be a problem with your locking mechanism which is preventing the washer from actually performing a complete spin cycle. It will drain and appear to function but the high speed spin never actually takes place.

My maytag neptune washer will not perform the final spin cycle. Therefore the clothes are still wet. Any solutions

Maytag washer parts, GE washer parts, and other brand names on the market are all designed to work interdependently with each other. This system starts to break down if even one part begins to encounter difficulty. Your washer's spin cycle flings a large amount of water out of the clothes, but if the water can't drain, the clothes will soak it all back up, defeating the purpose of the cycle. Excessively wet clothes after the spin cycle may not be caused by faulty washer parts, but rather a blocked drain is a very good bet. Check the drain line for a blockage and try again. If your hose is kinked or bent, this can also cause a drainage problem. The failure of one simple part creates a larger problem for all the washer parts. What can cause a blockage? A number of items; paper left in the pockets of your jeans, coins or other debris, even socks. Check your hoses, and make sure your laundry has empty pockets for future loads.

Washer not finishing it's rinse/spin cycle

Run any load - large or the least bit bulky (like sheets) on the "BULKY" cycle. It takes longer, but the machine completes the wash. This shouldn't be the way it works. I love the Neptune TL for its retro look and lack of Maytag's classic big cranky knob. Too bad it runs like ****.

Washer runs when timer dial turned though ON button not pushed

Problem solved by ourselves! It was NOT in the circuit board (brain) of the machine. It was NOT in the door locking assembly as others would lead us to believe. It WAS the on/off switch on the control panel--part number 22002560 - a $22.00 problem fix.

No Spin Cycle

Your machine won't go into spin cycle most probably because it awaits for pump to start extracting water out of the basket. If the "Door Locked" light is on th an it means that either filter, pump or drain hose are clogged (unless pump burned). Turn off machine, unplug the machine, clean the filter, check for foreign objects inside filter and pump housing and finally check/unclog the drain hose.

Wont spin or drain

The drain pump is jammed or clogged up. Remove the filter cover and check for bobby pins, coins or bra wires. If clean, remove drum to pump hose from the pump and check for any foreign matter. Try to turn the pump impeller by hand. It should turn freely. If pump is not free, replace it.
