D-Link DPH-70L dialup IP phone changing IP Server.

Hi, there....I have a D-Link DPH-70L dialup IP phone. I was using it with Phoneserve cards. But, now their service is not good. And, I wish to change its IP server address to use it with other voip provider. I tried to change it with default password 12345. But, it gets back to the same adp2.winnerip.com
I would appreciate if anyone can help me in changing the IP server setting?
Waiting for your responses.

Hello!

It sounds like you got this phone from the service provider you want to stop using.
If so, then the problem is that they have preprogrammed a provisjoning server in your phones firmware.
As long as this service is enabled their settings will overwrite any changes.
i cant find any information about this modell, but usually this menu is in a admin restricted part of the firmware and therefore it cant be changed without doing some serious hacking.
But before you give up try looking for settings in firmware menu (if it got a webui) that can point to this.

Voip equipment is usually cheap so its not worth the hassle if it cant be done easily. So before u put in a lot of hours in this problem consider buying new hardware.

No special firewall rules needed for DPH-540 and Dlink DI-604 router

My DPH-540 works fine behind a DI-604 NAT router, without any special firewall configuration on the DI-604 (I connect to either RingCentral or SIPPhone). I hope to get another SIP phone and see if both phones can work simultaneously behind the NAT router; many web sites suggest that a different proxy port must be used (the default is 5060).

Using D-Link DPH-50U with a softphone ie. Xlite,eyeBeam, etc

That phone looks exactly like the one I use from sjlabs.com. I have a SIP account with FWD on mine. The router should have nothing to do with it unless you are behind a corporate router with strict ACLs. The soft phone is software based. Just make sure your STUN server and SIP proxy is set up correctly. The Xlite should provide all the info needed,

Can't get the D link DPH 540 TO GET A CONNECT TO WI FI

Dear Stoneway,

First create a network profile if not yet done so

Menu > Profile > Network Profile

then edit it, go to Account Choice and select "Default".

The "No SIP Account" error most likely comes from having a blank field in "Account Choice".

It's easier to set up the DPH-540 from the web admin interface, so you can try first to at least get an IP address assigned to the phone then use that IP address to access the phone from another laptop on that same wireless network. But again by the time you manage to thumb your way to get an IP address assigned, you have 3/4 of the problem already resolved so you may as well thumb in that finishing touch :-)

DPH-50U default audio

I had the same problem. I just reinstalled the hardware manually through the install new hardware module in XP. Once I did that, Skype "saw" the D-Link adapter.
'I went into "add new hardware" clicked "yer, hardware is already installed" then selected the D-Link device that will be listed. You have to have the driver already installed, then let the OS install the hardware as it always does and then you should see the D-Link driver as one of the choices.

This drove me crazy too. I hope this works for all of you. Good Luck.

Reseting to default Firmware!!!

If you are saying that there is a mistake with the firmware, you are in serious trouble. Firmware in most cases cannot be restored if there is a problem with upgrades or installs.

How to reset lagin password

This phone is no longer supported by D-Link, but you probably already know that by now. If you don't have a manual for the phone, you can still download it from D-Link at: ftp://ftp.dlink.com/VoIP/dph100H/Manual/dph100H_manual_100.zip

Within the manual there is a process for setting the password, presuming you can get to it.

Not a direct answer to your question, but all I have at hand right now. Hope it helps.
