Question about Asrock 775i65G Motherboard

Problem with upgrading ram on Asrock 775i65G Motherboard

I have a PC that has this motherboard: And has 2 slots for ram, 1 has 512 ddr 400 ram plate in it, and since the PC supports 2 gigs max, i got another ddr 400 1GB plate to boost it a bit... The problem is, bios and windows don't recognize this new plate....?? If i only put that 1GB plate in my pc, it turns on, but there is no image on the screen, cant even get to bios or anything... The 1gb plate has 16 chips, 8 on each side... The interesting thing tho, is that, when i run CPU-z in windows, with both plates inserted, i can see both plates inserted, and see their specifications, although the pc has recognized only the one with 512ram... I have tried: Booting with the 1GB plate alone, in both slots, no use.... Manually adjusting the voltage and ram speed to max in bios, and booting with both, and only with the 1GB plate, no use.... Upgraded bios, no use... Is it possible that this plate is high density? And that is what makes the problem? And if so, how can the CPU-z recognize it? And for the love of god can someone explain to me the visual difference between high and low density plates, i found allot of topics about it, but still cannot differ them apart....

Me too. But great thanks to you for telling that 1GB modules work in conjuction with smaller ones! I almost thought I've got 2 dead 1Gb modules, as they didn't work neither alone, nor together.

Hello here is the homepage:

A repair manual can only be found at a asrock dealer.

They will probably not give that to you.

If the mainboard is dead, the solution is to buy a new.
It will cost to much to let be repaired.

Good luck
