How do I reinstall the Operating System on my computer?
Select models, with Microsoft Windows, have the ability to have the Operating System reinstalled from a hidden partition built into the computer.
Note: During the process, all data stored on your computer will be overwritten. This means all your files, such as email and photos, will be erased. Therefore, we recommend making a backup of all personal data before starting the recovery process.

To start the system recovery:

1. Restart the computer.
2. When the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the Alt and F10 keys repeatedly.
3. If you are prompted with a Microsoft Windows boot screen, press the Enter key.
4. After the system recovery application has loaded, follow the prompts to reinstall the Operating System.

If the ability to reinstall from the previous method is not available or fails, recovery of the Operating System will need to be from Recovery Media. If you do not have a set of Acer Recovery Media, you may purchase the set online from the Acer Recovery Media Order Form.
Note: If your computer does not have an internal optical disc drive, an external optical disc drive will be required in order to recover the Operating System using Acer Recovery Media.

1. Restart the computer.
2. When the Acer logo appears on the screen, press the F12 key repeatedly to enter the computer's Boot Menu.
3. Press the CD-ROM drive eject button and insert the disc labeled System CD.
4. Close the CD-ROM tray.
5. Refer to on screen instructions to select either CDROM or USB CDROM.
6. The computer will boot from the Acer Recovery Media
7. When prompted for the Recovery CD, remove the System CD and insert the Recovery CD.
   Note: If there are multiple Recovery CDs, please insert the first of the Recovery CDs.
   
8. After the system recovery application has loaded, follow the prompts to reinstall the Operating System.

Note: if your computer is unable to run the Acer Recovery process, or errors occur during recovery, please contact Acer support.

If you have the cd installer of the acer aspire 3000 PC. Insert it to your cdrom drive and the autoplay will execute and load the cd installer. Install only the audio driver so that your hardware will be fix.

In case you do not have the cd installer, you can also download the driver installer from their official website and install the audio driver after downloading or visit this acer support website.

After installing the audio driver but still no sound, download this codec this will play all the multimedia format. Click this link and click the download latest version for mozilla firefox browser click save, for internet explorer after clicking the download latest version click the (To help protect your security) then click download file then click save button. After downloading, install the program just next, next and after installing play any multiplayer format. Have a nice day.

You will have to load the audio driver from the the Mother Board CD.
Just insert the CD into the CDROM drive follow the instructions till you come to install Motherboard drivers.click on yes and in the end restart the PC. It will say new hardware found and start installing the drivers. Restart the PC and look for the round speaker logo at the right hand bottom of the screen near the clock.

If your CDROM is older than a year than you need to take it to repair person and ask for service of the device. He will carefully clean the sensitive lense and other parts of the CDROM. If the CDROM does not work even after that you need to retire it and get a new one.
The CDROM drivers are built into windows. Windows detect the device driver once you start your computer with a CDROM in a working order.

If you have the cd installer of a4tech pk-635 webcam, insert to your cdrom drive and go to your cdrom drive by double clicking the my computer on your desktop then look for the cdrom drive. Double click the cdrom drive and look for the filename setup. Double click the setup and click next,accept or install. Then plug your webcam after you installed the driver. The computer will detect as found new hardware, same procedure click next or accept or ok. If the system will ask you to restart just restart the computer to update the system of your computer. After restart then you can test by double clicking the amcap appearing on your desktop.

If you do not have the cd installer go to this website, click download driver and click driver for PC. Download this software driver and install after downloading. Have a nice day!

audio drivers are not installed on your system. drivers can be installed from media that came with your system or you can download from acer website.

It shows that your audio driver is not installed. install the audio driver from the cd that is given with your motherboard that is compatiblw with your OS.

Sorry pal. Machine is a DELL Inspiron 1721. No cable neither loudspeakers. I have no motherboard CD shipped with laptop. I already tried to install audio drivers from DELL Utilities & Drivers CD, but OS refuses to recognize that a soundcard is present.

Thanks anyway. It has to be solved by someone who's had the same problem and managed to work around it.

your motherboard has a packaged CD containing all the drivers needed. after installation of OS (operating system), put the driver CD in your CDROM/DVDROM device. The CD should autorun itself, if not then explore the CD then find "Setup". double click it. if prompted with menus, select best one relating to "Audio"...restart computer after installation and play sound file formats.

P.S. I assume you have Windows Operating system...
