Just recently my zoom stopped working. I took pictures with zoom one week ago but since then did not touch the camera. Tried to take pics this weekend and zoom button not working. I can zoom in up to X1 but then it says turn camera off and on. When I do that and try to zoom - does the same thing. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Lens mechanism needs cleaning ( moisture ) and possible alignment ( jarred ) ; charge or replace batteries , before getting estimate ;

Thanks. That what I was reading about it. I've tried cleaning the lens with the air cleaner (the one that you use for your keyboard) around the lens. I've noticed that the lens is not moving, so it is not the zoom button obviously. Even when I turn the camera on the lens is not moving anywhere. Batary was full, but I charged it to the fullest again and left the camera without batttaries for the full 24 hours (I've read it in other forum). Will try to put battaries and see what happens. Otherwise, I guess I will have to ge this replaced?
