Communicating with computer
1 With printer on, remove cartridges.
2 Turn printer off for 5 sec's./then back on
3 Double click Kodak printer icon, go to maintenance
4 From the menu, select Ink level. It will warn there are no cartraiges. Press OK
(At this point the memory has been reset)
5 Replace your cartridges and power off printer again for 5 sec's./Turn back on.
ironically, this does NOT work on my Office Hero 6.1 ,
Are they new brand name cartridges ? A good cleaning including the contacts on the cartridges AND where these contacts touch printer socket. Ink can dry out over time and not work well.
the kodak system uses a countdown system that assumes you use a certain amount of ink re sheet regegardless of how much ink you accutualy use, the counter system starts everyt ime you turn the printer on, so the only way to extend the life of the ink is not to turn the printer off netween use, which the domestic useres do not of course do what i did throw the printer away and get a new one not Kodak sh*t
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles. If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive. It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.
I replaced black ink cartridge and now no matter how many times I clean/calibrate only the black ink messes up. I tried other brand new cartridges and same thing. Even a calibrate shows missed lines or faded lines
Try reseating the ink cartridges. The error references to either reseating or refilling the ink cartridges.
Since you have mentioned that it worked before with only black cartridge, try reseating both and check.
