From my experience, most cooktop manufacturers give cutout dimensions that almost always need modifications to get the screws or nuts on the stove to fit the cutout. Have your granite fabricator come enlarge the opening by grinding specifically where there is interference. They should be able to tent off your granite and use a vacuum to minimize dust. I just had a similar cooktop installed with a micro over it. From the bottom of the upper cabinet to the top of the burner frames you need 33 1/2 inches and from the bottom of the micro to the burner frames you need a minimum of 16 1/2 inches.
Is that from the bottom of the cooktop?
Thanks Now Mama can have the cabinets she wants LOL
