Put a volt meter on the red wire and the C terminal. You should get 24 volts AC. If not then the control transformer is shot

My fuel guage doesn't work

you don't, it either works or does'nt, check all grounds, put power to it (12) volts, sending units are very delicate, care must be taken when replacing, in tank, . a wire diagram would show you the power wire, the ground wire, etc., maybe you can check it ?

Fan on paslode does not work after cleaning

It is activated by the micro switch near the top of the tool. It is pushed on by a metal arm with a roller at the end of it. Now I am going to assume the fan is plugged in at the motor and the ground wire is installed. If so you can partially disassemble the tool and CAREFULLY, keep fingers away from the fan, manually activate the little switch to see if the fan works. If it doesn't then either the fan motor went bad or it is a bad micro switch which is part of the circuit board. To see if it's a motor or board you can test for DC voltage with a basic multimeter at the wiring plug where it goes into the fan. If there is voltage (compared to what the battery has for a charge) to the motor then and it doesn't work then that is most likely bad.

If the fan works when depressing the micro switch then check the items to activate it. A model number always helps as then I can bring up a parts diagram which makes it easier to explain.

I have a domentic rm2652 rv refrigerator/freezer. the unit was working but now it won't work. The power light doesn't come on and it won't work on gas or electric.

NOTE: This
is a multi-solution answer since I don't have all the tech from your question to pinpoint your problem
But the solution is in here generically, if you read and study the solutions very, very carefully.

Sounds like the cold control has stuck . Unplug the two wires from the cold control and plug them together. Turn one wire over and plug it into the other. away from the cold control.
The cold control is the knob in the ref that turns it on and off and has numbers on it. (Thermostat)
If it runs then that cold control (Thernostat) is the problem.
If that doesn't work DO THIS:
The relay on the compressor may need replaced
A relay starts the compressor with a higher voltage and then quickly kicks out
Thats what is happening with yours
Its best for a tech to replace The relay but you can do it
Take your model number to your Local Appliance parts store they will have a diagram
showing you how to install the relay. Its called a hard start relay
also try hooking the two wires together on the cold control to route around the cold control.

Installed a new Filtrete thermostat on a new Carrier high-efficiency furnace. I followed instructions exactly. It doesn't work. What did I do wrong? Furnace was installed in December. Broom handle...

Hi smargyle,

Welcome to fixya!

I can provide you with diagrams for the old Carrier therm and for the new Filtrete therm. But, I would need to know what the model numbers are for each therm plus how many speeds AC you have.

Please reply back with that information and we will get your AC back in working order.

Thanks,

I'm trying hook up an aftermarket car stereo and i cant figure out where to hook the orange and orange/orange and white wire. I need the factory wire diagram

http://i267.photobucket.com/albums/ii320/RonJ_HCF/picture_2980.jpg

The picture says it is for 1999-2000 models, but also works for 1998.

Honda does not have orange wires, i checked a Pioneer and it doesn't either. Could it be that the yellow wires look orangeish?

Be careful, because many aftermarket units have 3 power wires: Unswitched (memory cable), switched (power cable) and dimmed (match the dashboard illumination intensity). Also, most aftermarket units have a power out, to activate the power antenna. Connecting this cable in the wrong position will probably lead to a serious short.

If I remember correctly, this model has a switch on the motor which activates both legs

lid of the dryer and should show this. Hope this helps.

NO DISPLAY ON UNIT

Pull your display off wall and see if your unit has batteries. If you have a blue wire or, a wire connected to the "B" terminal in your thermostat(the part connected to wall, this should produce the power to show display. If you do not have a blue wire, it is dependant on the batteries for display. Change out batteries and see what happens. Obviously with no display, your system won't work. If this doesn't solve your problem, replace the thermostat.
