Has your machine ever played CDs? There could be a problem with the maximum speed you are making your CDs with. Try a much slower speed. Just because the discs say they can be burned at such and such a speed does not mean that that's the optimum speed for your computer...accordianman

Hi,

May I suggest that you make the player region free?

Multi Region Hack
1. Power on the player with no disk in the drive
2. Press "PAUSE" on the remote
3. Enter "3 1 4 1 5 9" on the remote (the word COdE appears on the display)
4. Enter "0" on the remote (0 = All Regions, 1 = Region 1, 2 = Region 2, etc.)
5. Press "PAUSE" on the remote
6. Power the player off and then back on

Region free code for Zenith DVC2200 DVD player

Power on the player with no disk in the drive.
Press "PAUSE" on the remote.
Enter "3 1 4 1 5 9" on the remote (the word CODE appears on the display).
Enter "0" on the remote (0 = All Regions, 1 = Region 1, 2 = Region 2, etc.).
Press "PAUSE" on the remote.
Power the player off and then back on.

To play any region disc in these players shown below simply follow these instructions.
Open the tray, place an R1 disc on it but don't close it.
On the remote press 0, 1, 2, 3, PLAY.
The tray should then close, if not close it, and the player is now completely region free.

Dvd player won't open

There should be a manual release look on the underside for a slotted hole slide this across with a screwdriver it should release the tray.

Zenith DVC 2200 brightness issue


Macrovision
An analog video copy protection scheme that alters the unseen part of a video signal such that a VCR or other macrovision enabled device may not record the video signal properly. There are several types:
- Automatic Gain Control
- 2-line color stripe
- 4-line color stripe

Symptoms of this include picture fading in and out or color banding of the signal.please mark the post as fixya!

i think a belt or gear is slipping, you will have to open it and look inside.
