This is a feature of a number of display drivers and is usually enabled by a combination of keystrokes, try control+shift+R or control+shift+cursor key. Look at the display properties by right clicking on an empty part of desktop and look for any options to untick there, usually under settings; advanced.

Screen is sideways and cant control mouse

Display drivers such as Nvidia and Radeon have a feature to rotate the display as some displays can be rotated to display A4 documents more naturally. You have activated this feature. It's often on the taskbar on the right. Turn your head to the side when moving the mouse.

Hold the CTRL key, and ALT key down; and at the same time tap on the Up Arrow key, until the display is correct.

My display is sideways!

Twist the LCD screen 90 degrees, or install the software on the CD-ROM that came with the monitor.

With that software, your monitor can sense whether it is oriented in "portrait" mode or "landscape" mode, and automatically tell Windows that the device has "rotated".

Television screen is showing mirror image not the actual image.

There's a button on the original remote control that does exactly that:

Computer screen

I bet you mean it has rotated. I have seen this before. The computer I did this on, while holding down the "Ctrl" and "Alt" keys you press one of the arrow keys to rotate the screen. Depending on the arrow key, determines how much rotation you want.

This might not be the solution you want. You did not provide enough information about your display adapter. It is the display adapter software that does this. You will need to go to your display adapter software to key the correct key bindings. I am not talking about the "desktop display settings". If you have an nvidia graphics card then it will be the nvidia graphics adapter software that you installed. Not the driver, but the software that allows you to tweak your graphics adapter.

My advise, use that software to rotate your screen to the correct orientation, then disable those key bindings.
