I have a Samsung front loader. It has been stopping with the error code 5E (filter problem ) for a few months now. Turning the machine off then on again after 20min gets it going again. The fault always happens with 11 mins. left on the cycle. There is no water or very little in the tub when it occurs. The fault is intermittent, about 1 out of every 4 washes. I have cleaned the hoses to the drain and the small hose which is used to drain the machine. Moving the drum is free and easy - not jamming. Any suggestions.

5E is displayed if the water level frequency detected is 25 KHz or less in the initial phase of the UNB -detecting cycle. The Water Drain error can be cleared by turning POWER SW OFF and back ON.

Error code 5E is the code telling you that you will need to clean the filter. After you clean the filter the code will go away.

Hi dear.5E code meaning on Samsung washer's,DRAIN fault.1-Please check drain hose for kink or clogged where it gets end.2-Please slowly open the machine's filter & drain the water inside the washer.Take out the filter & check it,if there is any thing blocks the filter or pump,try to clean it & put it back.It should comes back to normal.(If non of that's happening you might have defactive pump,call service centre.)Run the spin program & make sure it's draining now.I hope that helps.Thanks.

A 5E code means that the drain pump is iether clogged, with lint, impeller damage, drain hose clogged, or a loose connection on the pump connectors
