Humming when door is shut. Model #JA229216B 2013. Ge microwave.

It could be the possibility of the bulb about to go out or dust in the fan

The door switches are either faulty or not being depress when the door is closed, this usually means that the door and the cabinet are out of alignment

It's cooking on its own, likely due to a shorted relay on the control board, which can be repaired.

But it might be a failed door switch or door switch mount.

You probably have a bad door switch, and maybe a secondary problem. I recommend it be checked.

You should first be sure your filters are clean and that your ductwork is clear.

Possibly a shorted relay on the main timer board?? hum coming from transformer being powered with no fan running. With No fan you can hear it hum. shorted power relay on main board.

This is usually caused by either a bad door switch, a loose door switch mount, or a problem on the control panel.

Even though a door switch clicks, it may still be bad inside.

Switch or mount trouble can be caused by slamming the door or by opening the door while it's cooking without hitting the Stop pad first.
