All of you guys are wrong. What that person is saying is that the physical paddle used when you place your glass in the dispenser bay and press against the paddle....That's what's broken the paddle......

SOURCE: ge plastic auger ice maker fin broke off cleanly.

Replacement is the best solution as it can fall off and into the ice crusher and end up as small bits of plastic in your drink when you least expect it !! Look at the www.geappliances.com website for repair parts under service and support.

SOURCE: I replaced the water filter for my GE GSH25JSTA SS

I have had the same problem with the same model several times in the past. It also happens to me within a few days of replacing the water filter.

In my case, I believe the water line in the freezer door has become frozen. I usually let the freezer thaw for a couple of hours, and my water works again.

I have had constant problems with this model. I would recommend trying to sell your fridge now while it's still running, before the real headaches begin (mine has died 2x in the past six months, and I have not even had it for 2.5 years yet). No more GE's in my house.

SOURCE: Water dispenser not working. Ice dispenser works

There should be a water filter inside the water lines to the water spout. This filter could be clogged, or the water lines themselves may still be somewhat frozen and not allowing flow to the dispenser itself.
You can also test the power to the dispensor to make sure it is drawing water. Can you hear the pump trying to pump water to dispenser? The water valve should also be opening. You can test power to the valve that draws in water from the external water lines.

Samsung rf4287hars dispenser not dispensing ice

SAMSUNG RF4282/HARS has a total backwards-double negative on the menu screen ( at least to me ) tho granted, the ice maker is perhaps, lets say, one of the slower cube makers I have ever seen... it has a setting that is .... "Ice Making OFF".... with the option ON/OFF.... make sure that setting is set to OFF if u want ice, or non Orange on the ON screen, or no ice will be made... It could have been worded much better... ie: "Turn Ice Making Off" with option yes or no... but no... My mind says...Make Ice, have options yes or no = just that....if I select YES ... ice making should be on.... not with Samsung... Kinda should go with the other setup settings that Samsung has..... simple yes/no
Words are.... ( selection )
"Ice Making OFF" setting should be set to OFF... just to do that... you are turning the shut down mode OFF and u will be making ice ( you are turning the shut down ice making function OFF in common terms)
As expensive as this machine is.... It should be easier and programing should restore after a power flux.... anyone wanting a lot of ice... forget this machine... we continue to purchase bagged ice and keep it in the freezer in the garage, it can\'t keep up on a daily basis.... I continually have to re-enter my WIFI passcode at every power outage... ( sometimes a lot in summer with storms )
My wife wanted it.... steel look.... she now finds she hates keeping it clean... NEVER AGAIN.... Samsung has some great products, but we have to suck up on this one... never again

My Samsung Model: RF4287HARS refrigerator stopped DISPENSING ice. It makes it, but only water comes out of both push levers now. I get ZERO help from samsung customer service. There is nothing in

The problem is actually in the dispenser lever. The paddle that you press to dispense ice has a plastic lever/arm that extends behind it (you can't see it, it's up high in the assembly.) This plastic lever presses upwards when you push the paddle and presses into a switch. The switch actuates the ice. This little lever is also the ONLY thing that stops the paddle from continuing to press into the water paddle. So when the lever breaks, it creates your two symptoms - no ice and if you press further, you press the water switch and get water.

You need part# DA97-08519A. This is the lever assembly with the switches. You pry the control panel assembly (the whole digital display above the water/ice dispenser) out by inserting a slim pry bar (I used a pocket knife and didn't damage the finish) on one side and working my way around. The assembly is held in place by five plastic tabs (two on each side and one on the top.) When this is removed, the part# above will be obvious.

I have a GE Profile refrigerator model PFSS5PJXA SS, French doors with bottom freezer and water dispenser, no ice, on right door. A small rubber disk fell of from behind the paddle that the glass is...

I removed the control panel (2 tabs under the front edge) removed the 4 screws holding on the paddle assembly and removed the assembly. The disk is glued on the back( I used super glue). If it happens in the future I would try to glue it on without removing everything. If you use a mirror you can see the detent where the disk mounts to the paddle and glue it back on. The disks function is to push on the switch that is located behind a gray rubber panel behind the paddle.

Broken water dispenser arm

I just fixed this today. 01/2/08

First, I got some super glue from Lowes especially designed for plastics.

I first glued some metal strips to the back or the broken off lever, so it will have extra support once glued back. I then applied glue to the broken surface of the lever arm and the support arms I glued earlier.

Super glue it awesome, just had to hold it in place for 1 minute, then let it cure for a few hours... working good as new.

I'm glad this worked for me, as I did not want to have to search for the part and then worry about taking the refrigerator apart.

After repair, I had to educate my wife on how to slam a cup into the arm HEHE.

Lg refrigerator water dispenser would not shut off

so two things I have learned. First if the tabs on the funnel break dont buy a new one just crazy glue back in place. Also if you take the gasket out put vaseline on the nubbins and they will slide back in place without having to take the panel apart. Fix time 7 minutes. Booyah!!!
