hi Russ, it sounds like the temperature switch is bad. It is located under the hood, front engine area, driver side, end of intake manifold, mounted in the block. U should be able to test it w/ an ohmeter as follows: disconnect wiring (check for loose, corroded, etc as that could be the problem) remove temp. switch, place in an old pot w/ water on stove, w/ temp below 99 degrees, connect ohmeter to terminals, reading should be zero. Heat water to above 99 degrees, check , should read infinity. If it fails this test, it's time to replace it. Good luck, let me know how u make out Curt from Connecticut.

is the blower motor resistor good? will it blow on high? if so i sespect resistor

it will be hard to diagnose with out having my hands on it but try this.
this vehicle is known for blower motor resistor failure.
under the dash on the passenger side next to the blower motor there is a resistor attatched to the blower motor case it will have a single plug with 5 or 6 wires in it, they are normally within a couple of inches of the blower motor, remove this resistor and look at closely for any signs of burning this is a common problem, you can buy one at any parts house, do not operate the motor with the resistor removed from its mounting hole or you will damage it.
if the resistor looks good than purchase you a test light and drop me a line and i will explain how to test the entire system its not hard to do.

Are you sure the blower motor is defective? If the blower motor resistor pack is bad the blower will not work. Have you applied 12 volts directly to the blower motor to verify it is bad? I have not replaced a blower motor on your particular car but it is usually a labor intensive repair. Depending on where you have it repaired the cost could be as little as $150 and up. Hard to say without actually doing it. Replacing the Resistor Pack is a fairly easy repair, so hopefully that is your problem.
SOURCE: ac was working fine the
Check the low switch by the dryer or accumulator, its a long narrow cannister,
it will have a pressure switch attached to it or near it. put your, ac on high,
pull the molex off the switch and jump the molex with a wire or paperclip,
if the compressor comes on and the ac starts to cool, you will just need
to replace the low pressure switch, if the clutch does not come on,
check the low switch molex to see if there is 12vlts there. good luck!
