Kodak M853 movie file doesn't play on Youtube or Quicktime player nor is it recognized by my Mac

I recorded a video on my camera.Since my camera doesn't read on my Mac computer, I loaded the movie file onto my flash drive from my PC. The file loaded. Then when I put my flash drive into my Mac, it said it doesn't recognize it as a movie file. Then I tried to load it directly onto Youtube, and the same thing happened. It doesn't even play in my QuickTimePlayer on my computer. The file ends in .mov so I don't understand what is the problem. Thank you for your help.

There are some MOV players for your reference. Even though Quicktime can play some mov files, but it won't play some others. You can try Leawo Blu-ray Player

My macbook pro recognized my JVC JY HD10U but won't recognize the image from the screen in order to import what I've filmed.

I am not sure what software you are trying to use, but if you are using quicktime for example to import your footage it should be very easy. Once you connect the camera in playback mode to your macbook with a firewire cable open up quicktime then go to file-> New Movie recording. From there it should see a camera connected but no video. Hit the record button and then start playback on the camera. You should then see the video start to record onto the mac. Let the entire video play though and when it is done hit stop and you have you files! You can now use those in virtually any video editing software!
Hope that helps!

I need to edit some files I recorded on my panasonic DMC-FZ28 camera and my editing program dont recognize the video files. Then I tried to watch them but not a single media player plays this .MOV files....

The .MOV files are apple quicktime files. you can download quicktime or install K-lite codec pack, which will let you open the files in Windows Media player. It may even let edit them in Windows Movie-maker. Cheers.
