I was transfering videos from my camcorder to my computer when the battery died on my camcorder. I plugged it up to charge & went back to try & transfer the videos, but they were ALL GONE. My camcorder says NO FILES. Please help me recover these if possible. I had my kids' birthday parties & Christmas & etc.
I'd recommend that you take a look at this camcorder data recovery guide that helped me last time:
Recover deleted videos from camcorder
the guide successfully get back deleted videos from JVC camcorder, hope that it helps you too.
Don't worry you can still recover the lost videos, Go to the address http://www.camerarecovery.org download the data recovery software, Install it on your computer system, Now connect the camcorder to the computer and scan it using data this software. YTou will get the list of all deleted files which can be recoverd in Red Color.

Don't give up on those files, the software I use has found files on the camera that I thought were deleted and it did discover them. And that was unintentional...
Adobe Premiere 4 is the program I use to edit my video and was the one that found the files...
Hope that helps!
If there's anything I can do to help, email me at [email protected]

YES!!! I GOT IT!!! Ok so the comp doesn't recognize the damn camera. I went around the problem!!! OOO so excited!!! Ok sooo simple, you'll slap yourself! Ok. First plug in your USB cord to the comp and you'll see the options play on pc, pc connection, etc. Select CREATE DVD! (You won't be able to see or select any of the files you are going to import, oh well.) You should see the regular screen pop up that says import, create, view pictures. Click IMPORT PICTURES. It will automatically import both pictures and video. For file name write something you can easily locate, ex: AAAAAAAAAAAAAA (you can change it later) Then open MOVIE MAKER. Click on IMPORT on the upper left hand corner and you'll see their demo video listed. Click on picture and video files on the bottom right hand corner and select ALL FILES. You should see what was downloaded!!! YAY!! I haven't burn a DVD yet but the files are there and the program should do it from there!

You can recover but it's not 100% sure unless those deleted videos are not fully overwritten(if you continue to take ).
First of all, DO NOT take any more videos with the memory card or stick that you want to recover from in case you may quite possibly ruin your chances of video recovery.
Then take some video recovery software to see if you can recover some or all of your deleted videos. Take the software and see?
If you are running Windows, turn to this video photo recovery software.
If you are running Macintosh, refer to this Mac data recovery program.
Just install the program on your computer, then connect your cam memory card and start to the scanning process.
Lastly you should remember - Do NOT try & write anything back to your Nikon memory card until you can recover your pictures to safely!
Happy the holiday! Greetings
