The problem seems starting with Mail, it normally will shows all emails that received in my fews difference email accounts, but last night when I opened it, it was empty. I try to open one of my email account (live.com) but unsuccessful and, then the Ipad 2 just keep restarting itself every 1 - 2 minutes.
Bought mine a year ago, the same thing has happened to me a couple of times. My iPad keeps restarting itself. I put the device into DFU mode, and use iTunes to install the last iOS version.

Hi. Try this torubleshoothig steps. Delete the mail account and start over with the defaults ... Or start here => For the SMTP server, use host "smtp-server.nc.rr.com", change the default port from 587 to port 25 (in coming pop server should be 110 by default). If you have mail in your Outbox you will get a error message that you cannot connect, delete all mail in Outbox, now try sending yourself mail.

It will configure automatically and you should able to send - receive emails.
