There are two versions of the -M7A board. Both appear to use the same audio driver in Xp.

There are five versions of the P4M89- board.

You need to determine the exact model you have. Biostar has been known to make custom model numbers that do not show up on there site. But the drivers for one of these boards should work for your computer.
If that fails, try the generic Realtec drivers of this page.
Download the one for Xp.

SOURCE: Problem with Biostar P4M800-M7A Motherboard
I had exactly the same problem.... waste hours on it. I solved it by clearing the CMOS. Pins 1 and 2 on JCMOS1 are closed in normal operation mode. Move the jumper to pins 2 and 3. I then pressed the power button a few times (the motherboard will not respond to the power button at all when it is configured to reset the CMOS), but I don't think pressing the power button is neccessary. After about 30 seconds, put the jumper back on pins 1 and 2, and power up. When I did this the motherboard responded finally. Hope it helps! :D
