There might be a small hole for a safety pin. Press that and it will pop open.

the thing is the cd eject won't work because the cd is stuck inside and so i can not get to the safety pin you are talking about. my only solution is to disassemble the top part of the stereo but i don't know how to do it.

I have a Sony MHC-771 mini stereo system with a 3 cd disk tray. I need to replace the belt that operates the cd tray? The tray is stuck in the closed position. Any suggestions?

Remove the belt and measure it in MM. The search for a belt at that size with Google. You don't have to be too precise about the size. For example if it is 48mm than a 50mm belt should do the trick. Don't bother with the maker's name either. Then can be universal. As long as it looks right.

Cd got stuck in the caroussel

Somewhat confused. If it won't open, there should be something you can press a safety pin into and it will open it.

How do i open the cd tray on a sony mhc-rg70av shelf system that seems stuck

Most CD trays will open if you shut off equipment and pull gently but firmly to overcome the slight initial resistance. Don't use so much force that it seems likely that the tray mech will break. This calls for a serious bit of taking apart and is best left to the local repair shop.
