Needle is stuck - PfaFF Sewing Machines

Where is the broken needle stuck? The broken upper part should just come out like a regular needle (via the needle-screw). If the broken tip is stuck, try removing the bobbin case from the machine. When that is released, everything under the needleplate should be accessible.

If the needle is hitting, most likely your machine has been knocked out of time (which frequently occurs when the needle strikes something it shouldn't). Search for sewing machine timing or take it for service.

It's possible that you have threads wound somewhere inside the machine. Likely places are the tension unit and near the hand wheel.

I would take it to the Sewing Shop. You've probably damaged whatever the needle has wedged itself into ...plus the needle and maybe the mechanism that drives the needle up and down.

Your needle may have a slight niche in the end. Run your finger around the tip on the needle. Good Luck...xo

You might notice a slit in the clamp's screw; that is designed so that you can use a straight-blade screwdriver to loosen or tighten the screw instead of your fingers, and will turn it for you.

If the needle gets stuck with no thread, The needle is hitting something. Could be needle not up all the way or something needs adjusting. If it gets stuck with thread. It is probably an upper thread tension or threading issue.

needle has bend remove power from mains supply and remove the needle then fit new needle

the machine is out of time & will have to be retimed at a sewing machine shop
