Would like to close 2 old gmails accounts and open a new one

Log out your old gmail account. Or add account to log in your new gmail account.

Two options: one, do nothing as it doesn't hurt anything to have a dormant (free) account; two, follow the standard password recovery prompts to have the password reset and then follow through with an actual cancellation.

If you want to open a new account, be sure to move all the email in your current account to the new one before closing it. Also delete all or any private information you may have on your old account.

If making a new account does not satisfy you, add 2-step verification to the new account, which will link the account to a Google Authenticator or phone number, preventing unauthorized entry into your email. Google also tracks the user's IP address, and reports back if the account was accessed at a previously unknown location.

for android phone, click on the gmail app icon to open app. (if you don't already have the app, download it from the google play web site).

In the accounts section of "settings", open the "Google" account. Touch the email name listed, and in the window that appears, at the bottom you'll see a button that says "remove account". Click on that.

Then click on add account to add your new gmail account

It sounds like your gmail is defaulting to one that you don't want, and you want it to default to a different one.
To get to your preferred gmail account, you have to sign out of the one you don't want.

1. When you are in gmail, click on the account icon in the top right corner.
2. Click on "Sign Out".
3. On the "Sign Out" page, click on "Sign in with a different account".
4. Here you should be able to access the gmail account you prefer, as well as delete ones that you don't want.

Actually you will have to logout from one account to log in to the other account.
If you have more than one web browser, you can log into each account in separate web browser at the same time. (eg: account 1 in Google chrome and account 2 in internet explorer). Each Gmail account have a Google+ account associated to it. Just visit https://mail.google.com to get see your email.

o cancel a Gmail account and delete the associated Gmail address:

• Go to Google Account Settings.
• Open the Products page.
• Click Edit under Your products.
• Click Remove Gmail permanently under Delete a Product.
  • You can also choose Close account and delete all services and info associated with it to remove your entire Google account (including your search history, Google Docs, iGoogle page, AdWords and AdSense as well as other Google services).
• Make sure Yes, I want to permanently delete [email protected] and remove it from my Google account. is checked.
• Enter an email address different from the address associated with the account you are closing under New primary email address.
  • Gmail may already have entered the secondary address you used when creating the Gmail account.
  • The alternative email address becomes your new Google account user name.
  • Make sure you enter an email address to which you have access. You need that access to complete deleting your Gmail account.
• Enter your Gmail password under Current password.
• Click REMOVE GMAIL.
• Open the "Gmail Removal Confirmation" email from "[email protected]" at the email address you specified as your new.
• Follow the deletion link in it.
• Type your Gmail password under Password:.
• Click Verify.
  • Keep in mind that you cannot undo this step.

After creating new account on google.com.tap settings on iPad,tap mail,tap gmail to delete old account..tap mail again on top left then tap add account,tap gmail then enter info for new account.
