How can I connect my Konica Minolta Magicolor 2490MF printer via an ethernet cable. When I connect it via my Netgear CG3100D router the PC won't recognise it.

You need to give the machine an IP address.

If I download drivers for my Macbook for Konica Minolta 290MF will I be able to print from my macbook pro?

You may need to download the drivers for the 2590MF instead as there is no Mac drivers available for the 2490MF, but you should be able to use these drivers:

I neede the driver for Konica Minolta MAgicolor 2490MF,

1st You download Printer Driver. Free Konica Printer Driver After this install the Printer driver in the system.
Installation of Printer Driver

Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager then
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.

18H: Heating roller warm-up failure

1 Check the fusing unit for correct installation (whether it is secured in position).
2 Check the fusing unit, DCPU1, and PRCB for proper connection and correct as necessary.
3 Check the lever of the safety switch and correct as necessary.
4 Change the fusing unit.
5 Change PRCB.
6 Change DCPU1.

Trying to set printer up with lap top

Hi lewis, you can check konica minolta's website and check the downloads section for your camera model's software and driver. At times, they also sell it on the web via the manufacturer's website if you want a CD copy. Check with Konica themselves so you get the genuine copy.

Konica Minolta 2490MF - Paper size error

Need to set A4 size default on the printer driver itself.
Go to Printers and Faxes / Konica Minolta 2490MF right click/ Printing preferences /
Create a "Easy Set" with a new name. Set all paper sizes to A4. Save the new settings to the new Easy Set.
Click apply.

There was a problem with the "5.3.32 Registration roller solenoid (SD2). The paper stalled in the printer.

press utility/counter - then under the counter "details" - stop 0 0 stop 01 - now you are in service mode, - stop 0 C, and there shold be admin pwd
