You need to be using a free motion foot or a darning foot, the regular presser foot is not for free motion.

I have a juki lu 562. Adjusting stitch length. For some reason it will not go to 9, 10, , 11 on scale. Will not go any farther than 8, then turning wheel opposite goes to 12.

Turn it to either extreme and then see if the feed dogs hit the plate when you hand turn the hand wheel towards you. Sometimes the feed dogs or plate have been replaced and they have set the stich length so that the feed dogs won't hit the ends of the plate.

Just replaced a cracked throat plate on Juki DDL8700. It runs great but noticed presser feet are not parallel to dogs. Looks like presser bar has shifted a degree or two counterclockwise. A problem?

1. Did you replace the needle plate with one that had the same item #? If not, It might night be fitting quite right.
2. Did you unscrew the feed dogs at the same time? When I replace my plate, if I have had my feed dogs unscrewed, I put the screws in loosely until I set my plate because they are adjustable to fit correctly with the plate. Once my plate screws are in and tight, I tighten my feed dog screws so it fits evenly in the plate.
3.As a general rule, your the bar that holds you foot, doesn't move when you break a needle. However if you put a new foot on, it may not fit quite in the same way.
Good Luck!

I lowered the feed dogs on my Juki TL-2010Q to free motion quilt and they won't raise. I cleaned under the throat plate. Help?

Have you tried sewing with it since you "raised" the feed dogs? The feed dogs will not raise until you begin to stitch.

I have a new Juki 8700-7H I switched the feed dogs, throat plate & presser foot to the light duty ones but Now the hand wheel is hard to turn & the stitch length won't adjust. What to do? Timing?

Take your presser foot off and the screws out of the plate. Lift the plate slightly and turn your stitch length regulator to the longest stitch that you use. Now set the plate back down on the feed dogs and see if it will sit evenly without binding. Loosen the feed dog screws and see if you can move the feed dogs enough to allow the plate to sit down. Now, retighten the feed dog screws and rotate the hand wheel towards you to see if they will move freely without binding on the plate. If all well, replace your plate screws and then rotate the hand wheel towards you again.

If this doesn't fix it, you may need to purchase a different # feed dog/plate. You might check to make sure that the items you purchased were meant for a Juki. Mostly they will fit different brands but sometimes it is easier to make sure that the combination of feed dog/plate is actually meant for your Juki.

The other thing you can do is to call a mechanic to readjust the machine to make these work (a more expensive option to be sure!). This has NOTHING to do with your timing. If your machine made good stitches before you change the feed dogs/plate. It should make good stitches after you change it. Timing is all to do with stitch formation and not stitch feeding. Good Luck!

Juki DDL-5530 feed dog is moving up and down, but not forwards and backwards.

hi there
please check all parts with red arrow :
1- spring is attached or lost.
2- feed regulator screw No. 7 good or tip is damaged.
3- check the two adjust link fulcrum shaft No.23 tight inside or not.
4- last thing you can do is check eccentric from back top side if feed is correct or no.
if need more information please ask.
