How do you change cmos battery on emachine m2105

THE MOST EASY WAY TO CLEAR CMOS JUST REMOVE CMOS-
BATTERY FOR 10-20 SECONDS.IT LOOK LIKE A WATCH-BATTERY.BE CAREFULE WITH THE HOOKS.

If all you have done is change the CMOS battery then the BIOS should be fine but it will have been reset to default settings which may have changed the Boot device and / or boot sequence.

Go in to the BIOS setup when you power on the computer and check that you have your main hard disk drive set as the main boot device.

Try clearing c mos using jumper on mobo or pulling battery on mobo for a min.
Remove memory sticks.
Put battery back in,then memory sticks.

Then try notebook bootup.Set bios to either auto or optimzed setting.

Your CMOS battery may be dead. That is the watch style battery on your motherboard. Choose f2. If the problem persists, change the battery

you might try removing the battery pack. and power up the laptop using only the wall connector that came with it. sometimes a bad battery pack is the cause of power up problems.

the maximum memory allotted that machine is 1.2 gigs and to do so you open the bottom memory door ans slide out the slot card and reinsert the new one

if you have the techie to dissassemble the cd/dvd drive, unplug and reconnect the cables connected to the dvd. or the cmos setup is disable for these drives.

Using cd resident OS (Knoppix) check driver for consistency
