Peavey speakers making no sound

Sounds like your speakers may be out of phase. Reverse the connection on ONE speaker (swap the wires connected to one speaker.

First, check that your source is producing sound by plugging into a different speaker set. If so, plug your source directly into each of your three speakers individually to see just where the problem is. I would suspect the crossover in the sub speaker .

I have to assume you're really meaning a tear in the speaker cone. If so, yes you can repair it if it's small and yes, it will affect the sound. Peavey Bandit amps have come with a few different speakers over the life of the name, but all will still be available either online or directly from Peavey's parts department. Here's the link-

There are a lot of possible problem areas it could be. I would first check that the speaker is working correctly. If so, I'd clean all jacks and pots. If that doesn't do it, it'll be time to take it to the shop.

This is a VERY low level output designed for headphones and will not drive a cab directly, you'll need an amp, take it to line in of an amp and all should be fine (REMEMBER This is designed to drive stereo headphones so is a TRS Right,Left,Screen. If you plug it into a mono input you will probably be shorting out one side of the peavey's output so get a splitter.

High side speaker input jack defective, as they are switch also and if you plug the wire from the amp in full range and no hf sound but connecting directly to the bi-amp hi does, then your female 1/4 plug at crossover is defective for sure.

The speaker is blown. Did it smell a little funny when this happened. Sometimes they get a faint burning smell when they blow. Some Peavey amps especially older ones are known for letting DC current slip through to the speaker and blows it immediately. Most of the rest of the amp deals with that pretty well so I'm not quite sure what going on with the standby switch. Probably just a blown bulb.

There is a speaker protection circuit that uses a lamp that will light IF you are driving the spoeakler TOO HARD !!! You can search for "Peavey speaker protection" circuiot online.

Troubleshooting is always a "process of elimination." Have you tried hooking up your Peavey powered mixer to another set of speakers? How about connecting the speakers to another audio system? Your term "very little sound" could mean audio input problems, mixer/amp settings or failure and possibly speaker damage (internal passive crossovers). Please be more specific.
