Try cutting off the power to the dishwasher at the breaker box to reset the memory board ( for 15 sec.) then turn the breaker back on. If this did the trick good if not then the power surge may have over powered the board inside.

SOURCE: HOTPOINT DISHWASHER FDW60

Hi,

I have just had my dishwasher fixed by Hotpoint, as the heater was working and the dishwasher only stopped with the fast and delicate lights just before the drying process he replaced the main control board. This has solved the problem, I suspected the fault to be the thermistor as the heater seemed to be getting to hot but I had no idea where it was.

It turns out the thermistor is attached to the main control board and hangs down behind the front door that gives just a rough temperature level for the main control board.

As it's soldered directly onto the control board I would suggest replacing the whole control pcb for anyone with this fault unless you can find any spec details for the thermistor.

SOURCE: Dishwasher not drying

Same problem here. I read the manual very carefully. "OptiDry", "ExtraDry", "EcoDry", "condensation drying" -- lots of fancy words to cover the simple fact -- they DO NOT DRY the dishes. There is no heating element. I wish they would just state this up-front. Air drying the dishes for 24 hours after each wash is not workable for most users...

SOURCE: Kenmore dishwasher 58715142400 fills but doesn't wash

Motor has gone out..just like mine...Make sure u have voltage going to the motor, (disconnect the plug from the motor) and use an electric meter to make sure you have voltage going to the motor. If so the motor has either gone out or has been blocked by something! If no noise except clicking then motor has gone out. Looking at about $150 for motor.

SOURCE: dishlex dx 302 heat drying

Found I had no hot water in my Dishlex DX302 and did a google search and found this page.

My problem was found to be the same as the others; one of the solder joints on the relay on the control board had arced off.
You could see the burn mark on the board and cover where it had been arcing.

Soldered it back together, and now it seems to be going good again.
Now my only problem is a damaged door seal, which means a small water leak; I have used part of a rubber glove to bridge the gap, and it reduces the water leak.

My dishwasher surges at the start and end of the cycle but still washes ok. Is this a problem, it doesn't sound right?

Some dishwashers depending on their programming rotate the motor impeller backwards at the start and end of the cycle to clear blockages, Also they can sound like they are surging if the water is a bit harder than it expects,
Keep and eye on the machine, as long as it doesn't demonstrate any other odd behavior it will be fine.

Dishwasher stays in cleaning mode and does not cycle to rinse.

Hello their sounds as though water heater has failed if it doesnt heat it defaults to a 3 hour cold wash and never finishes cycle eg doesnt go through rinse stages.will need a new heater service tech to change as fairly complicated.

Hotpoint dishwasher swd6o

all dishwashers don't heat the water themselves. the water supply should be tied into the hot water line under your kitchen sink.

Dishwasher will not go thru wash cycles

Hi
You have a problem which will need some knowledge of how the machine works and some test meter. There may be a problem with the motor. It may not beworking, jammed or dead -burnt out.The motor does the work after the water-cold,hot or medium-has entered.
The timer-you say works- will connect power to the motor to do its job, power to solonoid for the valves to open at the right time to let water in and out-pushed out by the motor.Remove the water with a cup and rags from the machine and then see if the motor turns by hand. This may mean you have to get under the machine.ALL WAYS REMOVE THE POWER CORD AT THE WALL POWER OUTLET--Jay
