We got a sleeping beauty dvd sent from canada and it wont play on my english dvd player. when u enter the dvd it loads then just says wrong region. is there any thing i can do to make it workon my technika dvd player thanks.

The DVD player has failed, due to the low cost of these players seldom are they sent for repair. would recommend a new "OPPO" brand DVD player, they last forever
enter "setup" from the remote
Scroll down to the lock symbol
Press the "0" button 7 times
You'll get a confirmation message and then your DVD player is region free :-)
There may be a issue with the assembly, blu-ray plays with more precision and speed, for some reason it is not slowing down to play the regular DVD's may be a padder motor problem.
The DVD portable player and the DVD disc came from the same countries?Ur DVD portable player and DVD disc u are using might have the wrong region DVD disc format frequencies.Like PAL frequencies only play Euroupean,Asia,Middle East,Austriala and Africa products.NTSC frequencise play only USA,Canada and Mexico DVD Disc products.
IF YOU LIVE IN THE USA OR CANADA THEN YOUR IN REGION 1 AND IT WILL PLAY WITHOUT CHANGING ANYTHING BUT IF YOU LIVE IN ANOTHER REGION OR YOUR DVD PLAYER IS FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY FOR SOME REASON THEN IT WONT PLAY.ALL DVDs MADE IN THE USA OR CANADA ARE REGION 1.
open tray
enter 0520, then press up, down, left, right (these are the keys around the ok/enter button)
a message will appear on the screen showing current region
press 0 and enter
it should now play any region

1- Push switch ON 2- Press setup on the remote 4- Using the remote enter 9735 and a number will appear on top right of screen 5- Using the Left/Right arrow change the region to 1,2,3,4,5,6,255 as you wish, 255 is region free. 6- Press setup again to save changes 7- Play your DVD
Your player doesnt play a dvd disc in canada this could be because of region limitations and your remote control has nothing to do with this problem try replacing with new pair of batteries and try again.
