I just need to use the headset that i received with my hp pavillion dvi600. i can't hear thru them yet

check the device manager and see if it needs any update. i had the same problem in my HP pavillion but i bought an external sound card and i only can hear the voice via headsets.

Make sure the Plantronics S11 headset is plugged into your handset jack on your phone, not the headset jack, this will make a difference on most phones. After plugging the S11 into the handset jack on your phone, you will need to pick up your handset receiver and sit it off to the side of the phone to place a call or to receive a call, after you are finished with your call sit the handset receiver back in the cradle on your phone.

If the computers lights are coming on and the fans are turning then the computer is receiving power. Try turning the sound on to see if you can hear the Windows Startup sounds (or Mac respectively). If you can hear the sounds then it is likely that the screen for the laptop has broken. If the laptop has a Video Card (most do not) this could also be faulty. Since you can't see anything you won't be able to fix it yourself, it will likely need to be returned to HP for laptop repairs.

Try to play music thru bluetooth

Which headset is this, there is an A, B and C, button on the side, you may need to adjust that to set the headset for your phone.

Try to uninstall and install a new copy of the sound driver.
if it's not working maybe that you need a new sound card because somtime the integrated sound of the motherboard stop working

remove the headset from the charger socket and place it in the head set socket

Make sure that your speakerphone is OFF.
