Do gigabyte motherboards GA-7N400 pro2/GA-7N400/GA-7N400L support usb3 cards

Yes, but please make sure you buy the PCI interface version, some of available USB 3.0 card in the market are mostly PCI-express interface. Just tell the store you will install it on the old PCI slot (white one). You also ask them if they have issue with the card that they recommending to you.

Final video card upgrade for "GA-7n400 Pro"

Hi

Thank you for your query

Looking at the specification of the motherboard, the maximum you are looking at is 512MB AGP card (Nvidia or the like), unfortunatley i cannot tell you exactly which one, as differnt cards are used for different things i.e. gaming, web creation etc etc

Your GA-7N400 PRO2 motherboard does not have a built-in video graphics card. You need to install an AGP 8x graphics card into the AGP slot on the motherboard. When you removed the heat-sink & fan assembly the CPU starts to over heat & the CPU will shut down the system. That's why you heard the, european ambulance sound.
If it wouldn’t, you would fry the CPU. Make sure you add thermal grease on to the CPU before re-assembling the heat-sink & fan. Don't forget to plug the CPU fan power connector on to the board.

Motherboard Gygabyte GA-7N400 Beeps and Won't Start

It might be worth testing it with another power supply before you throw it. With modern motherboards requiring multiple voltages (and multiple power connections!) it is quite common for a faulty PSU to prevent start-up.

Hope this helps.

Toasted?

i would check the connector from the psu to the motherboard where it plugs in and check that there isnt any plastic melted socket on the terminals as it may be shorting on the motherboard and the fan is drawing the fumes out making look as if its the power supply
