Gigabyte GA-8I915P Duo Pro Motherboard Questions & Answers
Stuck at the begin
Try removing the CMOS battery and wait 2 minutes, then replace.
Check the voltage before re-installing it.
Also, check and reseat the memory and processor.
While you have the board out, you should check all the USB ports for pin shortage.
Hope this helps.

I need to upate my pc or replace it to play games
i think you mean upgrade and yes, if you want to run latest games and good performance you need to change your rig. the gigabyte ga-81915p is very limited, in case of processors used most are old like P4,celeron D and P4HT you need something that can support core 2 series.

Hi davids38,
I really recommend getting a 24-pin adapter Power Supply Unit (PSU). I had this problem once and did purchase a 24-pin adapter for my 20-pin PSU but my computer wasn't stable (random reboots and lock up). I purchased a 24-pin PSU and my computer worked fine ever since. Hope this helps.
Thanks

The system won't start ,however
Sounds like you may have a problem with your processor bus. Would highly recommend replacing the motherboard. It sounds like the reason the system will start with no processor is there is no communication happening in the processor bus, but when a processor is is present that communication pathway is having a problem.

Hello there!
there could be problem with your HDD aswell, somethimes usb dont want to recognise some external devices and it shows that error also known as "yellow message".
On your place i would backup all files there and do one format of that for cleaning, who knows what might be in it aswell, some viruses, trojans, ...
If that havent solved your problem, then open up your pc and check look of your motheboard (if you have some eltronic experience you could check joins on it as well with voltmeter) . Thats it.
Sincerely

Maybe it's not recognized. Unplug every audio device, open Realtek HD Audio Manager and start plugging them back one at a time, the manager should automatically detect that something was plugged in a specific port. Just tell it what you have plugged.
